The Consolato Generale d'Italia in Toronto has established an informal Committee with the purpose of honouring the individual memory of the many Italian immigrants who, from the post-war period to the end of the past century, lost their lives due to job accidents, while working to provide a better future for their families and build this country. The Committee intends to collect, by the end of this year, the names of all the Italians who have died as a result of workplace accidents, and with the family's consent, to engrave their names on a memorial to be erected within the first six months of 2011. Anyone who knows of a relative or acquaintance having perished due to a workplace accident between 1945 and 2000, is asked to submit the
individual's name to:
